The two (2) days orientation and training program for courier and logistics regulatory officers nationwide was officially declared closed by the Postmaster General of the Federation/CEO, Rt.HON Adepoju Adeyemi Sunday, ably represented by the Director Operations Mrs. Toyin Egbesola.

 

The Director, Nigeria Postal Institute, Mrs. Irowa Salome, the Chairman, Nipost training board ably represented by Mrs Audu Grace, the State Postal Manager Edo state, Mr. Moyo Bamisile, the General Manager, Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department (CLRD) Mr. Oludotun Gideon Shonde, and

all the State Regulatory Officers(SRO) were in attendance at the closing event.

 

Finally, the EDO STATE ENFORCEMENT TEAM in collaboration with the the Force Criminal Investigation Department(FCID), some armed police officers from the Edo State Police Command, and gentlemen of the press embarked on the MOTHER OF ALL CLAMPDOWN OPERATION in Edo State capital for a practical session immediately after the  class room training.

 

The ongoing nationwide CLAMPDOWN OPERATION that was executed in Benin City witnessed the arrest of numerous illegal/unlicensed/unregistered dispatch riders, courier and logistics operators at different locations on friday 22nd of September 2023.

The premises of some of the apprehended unregistered/unlicensed and illegal companies were sealed off.
