IMO STATE STRATEGIC MEETING WITH NIPOST(CLRD).

 *IMO STATE GOVERNMENT HELD A STRATEGIC BUSINESS MEEETING WITH THE COURIER AND LOGISTICS REGULATORY DEPARTMENT (NIPOST).*

 
The General Manager, Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department(CLRD) NIPOST, Mr Shonde G. 'Dotun Shonde ably represented by the Assistant General Manager (Ethics, Complaint and Strategy), Mr Worimegbe Banks had a successful strategic business meeting with the Honorable Commissioner of Transport, Imo State, Dr (sir) Chika Benson Abazu on Tuesday 8th July 2024 at his office.
The State Postal Manager, Mr A. P Egbadon and the State Regulatory Officer, I.K Njemanze, accompanied the representative of the General Manager (CLRD) to the official meeting in Imo State. 
 
The strategic meeting centred on two basic regulatory issues.
(1) The need for an Inter-governmental collaboration between the IMO STATE GOVERNMENT Ministry of Transportation (MOT) and NIPOST for a joint enforcement operation of the NIPOST Act against illegal and unlicensed courier and logistics operators in the state.
 
(2) Partnership to conduct an industrial training program for the licensed/ registered private operators and any desiring investor in Imo State.  
  This initiative is to promote safety rules, to ensure security measures, sanity, ethical standards, and professional practices in the ecosystem as regards Imo State.    
 
The honourable commissioner agreed to work together with (CLRD) NIPOST in the two areas that are needed to ensure sanity in the Postal, Express, Courier, and Logistics Business in Imo State.
