The General Manager of Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department (CLRD), Mr 'Dotun G. Shonde. paid a Courtesy visit and had a Business meeting with the General Manager, International Mail Processing Centre, Mrs Mmayen Ujong today.

 
In a very friendly scenario, the GM IMPC and her team welcomed the CLRD team which consist of the DGM Investigation and Enforcement, Mrs Ngozi Ukwu, AGM Accounts, Mrs Ameh Fatima, AGM Ethics, Complain and Strategy, Mr Worimegbe Banks and Manager, Corperate Communications, Mr Chidi Onuba.
 
In his opening speech, the GM CLRD briefed the house on his reason for the visit which is to familiarize and also collaborate with IMPC.
He emphasis on the need to monitor the activities of ever increasing illegal courier operators effectively  especially within the COURIER SHEDS at both NAHCO and SACHOL respectively. 
 
In her response the GM IMPC assured the team of IMPC support in whatever capacity most especially in need for getting an On Duty Card (ODC)  which will enable staff access to the tarmac for a more thorough Job.
The GM CLRD also informed the house of the full automation of the CLRD processes. This means that Licence can be applied for online and courier operators can be checkmated online too.

On the business aspect of the meeting, the GM CLRD talked established the possibility of having NIPOST Cargo and Courier shed at the complex which will be another source of revenue for the organization.
On the necessary facilities, the GM said NIPOST can partner with private organizations to get the necessary facilities and utilize the space within the IMPC complex. The GM IMPC informed the house of her discussion with her management team on how to utilize the premises, she was very happy with the discussions as the visit is very important and very fruitful.
