CLRD RAIDS UNLICENSED COURIER OPERATORS IN AKURE AND LAGOS

*COURIER AND LOGISTICS REGULATORY DEPARTMENT (NIPOST) RAIDS ILLEGAL/UNLICENSED/UNREGISTERED COURIER AND LOGISTICS OPERATORS IN (AKURE)ONDO STATE AND LAGOS ENVIRON*.
Further to the approval of the Postmaster General of the Federation/CEO (NIPOST), Engr. Tola Odeyemi and by the provisions of Section 43, NIPOST ACT, CAP N127 LAWS OF THE FEDERATION OF NIGERIA 2024, the second quarter enforcement operation continues nationwide.
The Enforcement Team comprises of the Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department(Nipost) in collaboration with the Force Criminal Investigation Department, fully armed police officers from the Ondo State Police Command and gentlemen of the press.
However, earlier on, the General Manager, Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department, Mr. Gideon Oludotun Shonde and the State Postal Manager (Ondo), Mrs Olubukola.O. Olaniyi embarked on a public awareness programme to educate and sensitize the public on 102.5, Positive FM radio station in Akure.
Shortly after the radio session, the enforcement team clamped down numerous illegal/unlicensed and unregistered courier and logistics operators in Ondo State.
The same was done in certain areas of Lagos State.
Many offices of the unregistered/unlicensed/illegal Courier and Logistics operators were sealed, and their operating assets were confiscated as exhibits for prosecution.
