NIPOST ISSUES FIRST 2025 OPERATING LICENSE TO 16 NEW COURIER & LOGISTICS FIRMS IN NIGERIA

 *NIPOST PRESENTED FIRST OPERATING LICENSE IN 2025, TO SIXTEEN (16) NEW COURIER AND LOGISTICS COMPANIES IN NIGERIA*

 
On behalf of the Postmaster General of the Federation/CEO(NIPOST), Ms Tola Odeyemi, the first Operating License in the year 2025 were presented to sixteen (16) Courier and Logistics companies at the Nipost headquarters, Annexe, Lafiaji, Lagos.
 
The General Manager, Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department (CLRD), Mr. Gideon O. Shonde  warmly welcomed the new investors/business promoters.
 
The General Manager (CLRD) advised the new investors/operators to abide by the rules and regulations of the courier and logistics service for a sustainable growth and healthy relationship in the industry 
 
The main lecture of the program was presented by Mrs. Mariam Jogai .O. (AGM LG & C), titled, "REGULATORY GUIDELINES AND THE COURIER AND LOGISTICS BUSINESS IN NIGERIA
 
Goodwill messages were taken from Mr. Pavan and Mr. Ezeh Evaristus, both from DAG Industries Ltd (BAJAJ).
There was also an official video presentation to the new investors by Mr Benjamin Adeyemo of NIPOST/SMART LOCKERS on  initiatives for delivery solutions through digitization.
 
The business promoters were given the opportunity to ask questions, and answers were given by the GM CLRD, with video based evidence of the milestone achievements of the department since 2001.
 
By the provisions of Section 43 of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) Act Cap N127, LFN 2004 and the Courier and Logistics Regulatory (OPERATIONAL) Guidelines,
"no person shall operate Courier and Logistics services in Nigeria unless the person is registered under the companies and Allied matters Act  with an object clause to carry out Courier and Logistics business, and given  a grant of an Operating license by the Postmaster General of the Federation",
Operating License and certificates of attendance were presented to each company by the General Manager (CLRD) on behalf of the Postmaster General of the Federation, Engr. Tola Odeyemi
 
The vote of thanks on behalf of the new investors and business promoters was said by Mr. Eric Okeugo, the CEO of Eazy Wheels Logistics Ltd.
