INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF DISPATCH AND LOGISTICS BUSINESS OWNERS IN KWARA STATE TODAY 23/11/2023.

 

The president of the kwara State Courier and Logistics Association, Mr Yusuf Mustapha,

had earlier requested a town hall meeting and public enlightenment program in collaboration with the Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department (CLRD)NIPOST.

 

During the official engagement, they presented three(3) major agenda bordering on LICENSING, ENFORCEMENT, and REGULATORY SUPPORT FOR THEIR PRIVATE BUSINESS AND THEIR MEMBERS.

 

The General Manager (CLRD) Mr G 'Dotun Shonde, ably represented by the AGM(Legal Services and Compliance)

Mrs O. Mariam Jogai.(Esq), the State Postal Manager Kwara, Mr  Bamisaiye, and the State Regulatory Officer(SRO) kwara were present at the stakeholders' engagement meeting. 

 

The members of the association pleaded for instalments payments of operating licensing fees considering the economic situation in the country.

 

On enforcement, they  requested increased awareness in Kwara State for the general public and continuous clampdown exercise against the quacks. 

They complained bitterly about illegal operator's  under-charging customers and that they are killing the business for the registered/licensed investors.

 

Therefore, they requested collaboration with CLRD(NIPOST )in identifying and reporting illegal/unlicensed and unregistered operators in the kwara state. 

 

Finally, answers were provided to all the questions and doubts raised by both the AGM(Legal Services/ Compliance) and the SPM Kwara State. 

 

In conclusion, an SME'S Courier and Logistics Operating License was presented to the 

Managing Director METROMILE LOGISTICS at the meeting.
